The author is from Sakhalin. This is his second book "Street Encounters", 2003. The first one, "Just a Life", 1995, is now out of print. His works are now in collections of Martin Parr, Multimedia Art Museum Moscow, and several others, and presented during Kassel Fotobook Festival and Cosmos, Rencontres d'Arles, France.
