During the isolation I had to refuse all of the planned photoshoots. I immersed myself into investigating my old photos.

Earlier I used to take photos every day and I did not have a purpose to create a series.

Due to several years of studying photography a pile of forgotten photoshoots has accumulated and the period of self-isolation turned out to be the time to reflectively look back into the past.

I found out that photography does not bring me back to the lost reality. I can hardly imagine that ‘everything was exactly like this’ in the past. Fragments of memories completely transformed in my mind. And the photos did. My photos do not check with my memories. They seem to be opposite to each other.

The series of collages is my attempt to visualize the rift between the past and the present, to create a map of memories from which you can build an infinite number of new ones.
