An exploration of wildlife and man’s relationship with it, done through the camera of a camera.

“The project started the moment I saw the marks of the forest rangers on the trees in the forest where I grew up, thanks to my mom I have a special bond with them. These trees were to be cut down and I decided to capture them on camera. Fifteen years later, there is almost nothing left of the forest… ‘Morok’ is an attempt to capture, to bring together places that are important to me before they disappear.” (Ilya Batrakov)
