A google wife
Many people who watch A Google Wife say that it is a book about boredom. But no, it’s more about loneliness and finding yourself. This is the story of a girl who finds herself in a new country, in a new culture, in a new community and diligently adapting to it all.
In the photographs, we - female spooglers (a spoogler is the wife/partner of a Google employee, from spouse + googler = spoogler) - endlessly meet in similar interiors, drink tea or coffee at large tables, talk about trifles, play with children. Seasons, dresses, people change, but meetings continue and it seems that the next one is indistinguishable from the previous one. In photographs we are bored, we want communication and variety. The question is, what is boredom?

Photographer, mathematician. Born in Rostov-on-Don, now lives in Zurich. Since 2012, she has been working on two long-term personal projects: A Google Wife and How I Tried to Convince My Husband to Have Children.
