Sergey Kiselev. Dodekafonia

3 in stock

This is the first album of Sergei Kiselev, the famous Russian photographer. Unfortunately, it was published without him. For the last year, he selected photographs, worked with a designer on a layout, but he died and did not have time to release it… Sergey planned everything in the book. The order of the shots, the preface, which was not changed despite the cheerful tone of the text.

Sergei considered “Dodecaphony” the most important book in his career, serious dialogue with the audience according to the “Hamburg score”. The documentary was his calling. He knew how to notice the paradoxical in ordinary life, how to go beyond the daily routine. These documentary photographs were collected in a series with a large period, from the 90s to the present day. They become a reflection, a philosophical portrait of the time.Sergei Kiselyov, lightly, ironically referring to himself, was devoted to photography so deeply, as if its world fate lay on his shoulders.

All money received from the sale of books will be transferred to the Tyumen orphanage “Mercy”. Sergei’s latest project was a calendar with portraits of homeless people who found refuge there.
