Description

While shooting the modern architecture and landscape of Moscow’s suburbs, I realized that they reminded me of my childhood spent in a typical neighborhood of Samara that was just being built. After getting acquainted and communicating with the locals, I noticed that there are much more similarities than differences between their present-day and my childhood feelings of living in such an environment.
The background is, among other things, a series about the collective past, shaped and still being shaped by the homotypical, high-rise building and its surroundings experience
