The publication of the works of the Nizhny Novgorod based artist EPOP TOY was published within the framework of the BELIEF404 project.

From December 2019 to the end of May 2020, the artist made graphic images of everyday things on small sheets, complementing them with porcelain toilet paper holders. This is how a series of three objects, 120 drawings and images of a toilet bowl on the wall developed.

"TOY" team

Nizhnyi Novgorod

"Toy" team is a young artist duo formed in 2012. They refer to themselfs as a part of "Nizhnyi Novgorod street art" and transform the cityscape systematically expressing themselves through the name of their crew. Pictorial art, graphical art and art objects made by the artists are usually based  on principle of a "literal depiction": the paintings reflect literal meaning of commonplace phrases, expressions and jargonisms.
