The first advertising Photographers Alexander Khlebnikov and George Soshalskiy founded in 1961 Photo Club «Innovator». They works with  artists as Boris Ignatovich, Alexander Grinberg and Sergey Ivanov – Alliluyev. Club «Innovator» was created to" improve qualification ", recreation and simple communication of amateur photographers, many of whom later became professional reporters and photographers.

Already in the mid-1960s Photo Club at the regional House of Culture of the same name became the center of Moscow's amateur photographers: it consisted of more than 300 people.

1960-1970-ies - the heyday of amateur photography in the country: at this time photographic equipment  was then widely extends and relatively accessible (camera comes almost in every family), photographers, amateurs find time for a photo shoot and home experiments, and the state provides  photoclubs at enterprises and houses of culture. During the "Thaw" it was possible to photograph everything and nudity, and the greats of this world. But the main theme of amateur photography is  an incident - "the case of everyday life", although there is a landscape photography in the pictorial style and dynamic sports shots, and "design" still lifes, and allegorical compositions and portraits of celebrities.
