Stanislav Chabutkin. A Sight at The Sky

Stanislav Chabutkin was born in 1953 in Leningrad where he lived all his life. The city, it's culture and art, it's artists and workers are the main sympathy of the photographer. After the graduation from Leningrad Engeneering-Economic Institute he decided to keep on developing his art skills, entering evening drawing class at the I. E. Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. He never happened to be a chemical engineer or a painter, photography which he got into in the 70s took his heart. Chbutkin started his photographic path at the photo-club at Vyborg Culture Palace - one of the oldest and the most famous in the country. Most of the photographs are related to this period of his artistic practice, it is shown in the beginning of the album - those are early and important photographs of the artist, with already a distinct voice and characteristic for Chabutkin lirism and perfect technic.
